Palawan Advocates for Good Governance and Empowerment, Inc.

Background

ThePalawan Advocates for Good Governance and Empowerment, Inc., otherwise known as PAGE, is a non -  profit organization in the Province of Palawan facilitated by Helvetas - Swiss Association for International Cooperation through its participatory governance program called PROGRESS in 2005. Before that, it was known as the Provincial Pool of Facilitators for Participatory Governance in Palawan.

PAGE membership is composed of personalities from the Local Government Units and Civil Society Organizations in Palawan that came to unite in the advocacy of participatory governance and sustainable development. It spearheads the promotion and implementation of good governance and empowerment in Palawan and in the MIMAROPA region through its participatory governance program and co - financing of projects with Local Government Units and other partners.

PAGE is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 5, 2006. It is accredited with the Provincial Governments of Palawan and Marinduque and is also an active member of the Palawan NGO Network Inc. and the Barangay - Bayan Governance Consortium (BBGC).
